Education

As an architecture and interior design firm focused on public school design for 65 years, Antinozzi Associates has teamed with municipalities throughout Connecticut to work on the study, design, and/or construction of well over 250 school projects.  Our team’s experience with public school design features several recent public school projects addressing 21st Century Learning requirements, implementing a collaborative design process to meet schedule and budget, and creating attractive yet functional school spaces.

Antinozzi Associates approaches all school projects with the same point of view – that of the student. A student has distinct physical and emotional needs that can be challenging, and every school project is designed with the accommodation of these needs in mind.  Schools should attempt to have many of the qualities of home: comfort, security and warmth. It should also have inspirational qualities to uplift and cultivate a creative attitude.

As the staff liaison for the Killingly Permanent Building Commission, I have been working with Antinozzi on a renovate-as-new with addition project for one of our elementary schools (grades 2, 3, and 4). They and their entire subconsultant team have been knowledgeable, hardworking, detail-oriented, budget-conscious, helpful, and present. Antinozzi listens to the client’s wants and needs; they do not force their “expert” opinions on the client.
