DESCRIPTION
Squash Education Alliance’s (SEA) mission is to lead, launch, and strengthen youth programs that enable and empower students to access and succeed in quality educational, athletic, and career opportunities. The squash and education program model follows an intensive, year-round youth development model that combines squash instruction, academic tutoring, mentoring, travel, college prep and support. SEA works year-round with students from under-resourced communities, beginning in elementary or middle school and extending all the way through college graduation. Students attend practices and tutoring sessions three or four days a week during the school year and a summer program. SEA provides students opportunities to volunteer in their communities and travel to colleges and cities around the country. There are more than 2,000 kids enrolled in Squash and Education Alliance programs across the U.S.
