February 19, 2020 – The Heckman Center, a new study area at the University of Bridgeport, has opened on the second floor of the Wahlstrom Library. This 20,000 SF space is designed to meet an array of needs that the students and educators may have, with elements such as soft, flexible furniture that can be moved as needed as well as options for quiet study or open collaboration. “The center looks park-like, complete with boardwalk flooring and grass-like carpeting,” a tribute to UB’s waterfront location adjacent to Seaside Park.
