Antinozzi Associates had a successful year in 2015! We have been awarded a number of projects while also continuing on others, both in our Bridgeport and Norwalk office. Here are some of our highlights for the year.

We continue to have numerous projects in the residential and municipal design service sectors such as Housing Authority contracts and modernization projects for Stratford, Newington, West Haven, and Hartford. Out largest award was on the Newington Housing Authority’s $3M renovation projects. We were also awarded some municipal projects within Bridgeport. These projects include the Bridgeport maintenance facility and studies of three new locations for the Bridgeport Public Library. We continue to do work for the Town of Trumbull and some of their more recent projects have been an expansion and/or renovation for their Department of Public Works building, an elevator replacement for the Trumbull Police Department, and a study for their Town Hall.

As for our financial sector work, Webster Bank has been one of our most valued clients for 20 years and we recently completed a new branch in Fairfield. We will also be providing the relocation/consolidation of their central offices in Southington. We have also continued to do work for Newtown Savings Bank.

Over the last sixty years, our involvements with institutional projects have continuously been the largest efforts for the year. Roosevelt Elementary School, a 34.8M, 85,000SF Pre-K to 8th Grade facility in Bridgeport was completed in August for the 2015-2016 academic year. West Haven High School, a 275,000SF facility, is in the design process and is planned to undergo some major renovations along with new construction. Harding High School is nearing completion of the construction document phase and it should begin construction by Fall 2016. Stratford High School’s design underwent major changes due to programmatic needs and will result in building a new 236,000SF facility. Throughout the year, we have also continued our on-call design services for the University of Bridgeport, while the new residential hall continues construction for completion by August 2016. Our newly awarded institutional projects in 2015 include Milford Public School capital improvement projects, Greenwich Public School on-call renovation projects, and a $98M new facility for New London High School.

We also had major strides in our Norwalk office and were awarded a number of capital improvement projects, tenant fit-outs, and renovations. These projects include Connecticut Neck and Back in Danbury, 2777 Summer Street in Stamford, Onyx Equities’ Addison Corporate Center in Windsor, Keller Williams new office in Stamford, HEI Hotel & Resorts, Davis Companies’ main lobby renovations for 200 Connecticut Avenue, and Right Management’s interior fit-out in Norwalk. We have also extended our services outside of Connecticut as we were awarded BNY Mellon’s interior renovations project in White Plains, NY as well as Diageo’s pantry upgrade in Bentonville, AR.

As for our highlights with our staff, Jamie F. Curtin and Brittney Dishian became registered interior designers. Principal of Business Development, Michael Ayles, received the “Distinguished Alumnus of the Year” award at Roger Williams University. Several members of our firm also participated in our 13th year of the ACE Mentor Program, teaming up with high school students from Bridgeport, Fairfield, and Stratford.

Now celebrating our 60th year, we and are looking forward to what 2016 brings to our firm and staff!
